Heaven

Lesson 6A w/AnswersA Mid-Term Quiz

Heaven

In this lesson, I thought it might be useful to stop and review what we have learned about Heaven. I have put together a little "mid-term" quiz, so you can test your knowledge of our study so far. I encourage you to see how many you can answer before researching our previous lessons to find the answers. (Of course, you can always look at the answers as a last resort!)

Ready, Set, GO!

  1. Will there be animals on the New Earth? (see Romans 8:19-23, Isaiah 11:6-8, and Isaiah 65:17-25)
    1. ANSWER: Yes; they, like all of creation, are waiting for the New Heaven and New Earth.
  2. Will we have our own homes in Heaven? (see John 14:1-3)
    1. ANSWER: Yes; Christ has gone to prepare that place for us.
  3. What is the last enemy that Christ defeats, and when does He do it? (see 1 Corinthians 15:24-26)
    1. ANSWER: Death is the last enemy, and it is defeated at the end of Christ’s Millennial Reign.
  4. Can those in Heaven today see, or know about, what is happening here on earth? (see Revelation 6:9-11 and Revelation 18:20)
    1. ANSWER: Yes. We can see from the two passages in Revelation that everyone in heaven at that time knows why the martyrs are dying, and they see the fall of Babylon.
  5. Will we be reunited with loved ones? Will we recognize people in heaven? (see 1 Thessalonians 4:14-18 and Matthew 17:1-4)
    1. ANSWER: Yes. Clearly the Bible teaches us that we will know not just our loved ones, but that we will recognize everyone in heaven, even people that we have not met before.
  6. How can we know for sure that we will go to heaven? (see 1 John 5:13)
    1. ANSWER: John tells us that by putting our faith in Christ, we can know for a certainty that we will go to heaven, and that we will spend eternity with Christ.
  7. Will we remember "the good old days", once we are living in the New Heaven on the New Earth? (see Isaiah 65:17)
    1. ANSWER: No. The passage says that those days will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind. We will be so caught up in the present eternity with Christ and New Heaven and New Earth, which nothing from our previous life can compare to, or even come to mind.

I hope that you enjoyed taking this quiz as much as I did crafting it.

Have a great week everyone!

In Christ,

Wes
